Als een mooimaaksel op mijn bureau,
ooit nog mooi gevonden
neergezet om leuk te zijn
maar hooplijk meer dan dat
Een nieuweling die merkt je op
en kijkt zomaar, onwetend
van grootsheid die jij in je hebt
en wat er in jou schuilt
Je hebt zoveel potentie
kan zo-zo-zoveel worden
wat is jouw mysterie?
hoe zal je ontpoppen?
Elke keer zag ik je staan
ben nietsvermoedend doorgegaan
tot ik op die ene dag...
je toch heb weggedaan

Drunk driving
I got this in my mail
I went to a party and remembered what you said.
You told me not to drink, Mum, so I had a sprite instead.
I felt proud of myself, the way you said I would,
that I didn't drink and drive, though some friends said I should.
I made a healthy choice and your advice to me was right.
The party finally ended and the kids drove out of sight.
I got into my car, sure to get home in one piece.
I never knew what was coming, Mum, something I expected least.
Now I'm lying on the pavement and I hear the policeman say:
'The kid that caused this wreck was drunk,' Mum, his voice seems far away.
My own blood's all around me, as I try hard not to cry.
I can hear the paramedic say: 'This girl is going to die'.
I'm sure the guy had no idea, while he was flying high,
because he chose to drink and drive, now I would have to die.
So why do people do it, Mum, knowing that it ruins lives?
And now the pain is cutting me like a hundred stabbing knives.
Someone should have taught him that it's wrong to drink and drive.
Maybe if his parents had, I'd still be alive.
My breath is getting shorter, Mum, I'm getting really scared.
These are my final moments and I'm so unprepared.
I wish that you could hold me Mum, as I lie here and die.
I wish that I could say: 'I love you, Mum!' So, I love you and good-bye.

'If you dont like the present, look at the future.
If you dont like the future, look at the past.
If you dont like the past, use the present
to make your future
to have a past you would like to look back at.
So you can enjoy your present, past and future.'

So you can enjoy your present, past and future.'

People should not be judged
by what kind of a person they are,
but by what a kind person they are.
by what kind of a person they are,
but by what a kind person they are.

Worth it
I know you don't wanna hear sweet talk right now.
You're fed up with the bullshit and would, somehow
rather be punching some face in a fistfight now.
Or doing right to his 'manhood', bustin his balls,
but would've rather had none of this happen at all.
Don't try erase or rebirth it;
the memory or thought,
cause it wont be worth it.
Just watch not to get caught,
in the past and regrets,
cause there'll never be safe bets.
Worth, is what they aren't
and what they never (should've) had.
But sooner or later, yeah, one of these days,
they're bound to fall down anyways.
They will drop to their knees first, he
will pucker up, to suck up so bad
to leave even the trees thirsty.
Then they'll faceplant; they'll eat dirt,
kiss our shame-full mother Earth with
nasty lips that aren't worth it;
that spoke untruths and made hurt.
However nice releasing may be,
how great punchin' their damned face may feel,
to shut up that big mouth with the little lies
and to stop the pig talk from those little guys,
don't let them get to you and burst your bubble.
Because folk like that are never your trouble
Here's a simple old saying; true, I found,
says that what goes around, will come around,
which means that all will get what they deserve.
So they're only their problem, to solve and to serve.
But a problem is never the same as a care,
so please don't forget that I will be there;
whenever you need me and when you don't, too.
And I'll try not to worry when you tell me to,
but I wont stop wanting to see you happy.
So with trust, I'll be patient, with trust
With patience, I'll trust, I'll be.
Since it's those things that shouldn't be rushed,
it's those things that are worth it.

Mommah
Dear mommah,
she's doin' her best, but she's bringin it wrong
she thinks we don't know, we don't appreciate shit..
but everyone's different, so some of us do:
We know, you just want what you think is best for us
and that you think we think you don't understand us,
that you treat us like kids, and it all sounds cliché.
But in every word there's a truth and a lie.
With your culture and background, your thoughts and life,
you got all experience, except in momhood.
It forces you to let go and now realize;
mothers should be teachers, impartial like a judge,
martial not to judge, but to love and let go.
Cause mommah,
well, we know we want to grow up
way soon for what you will and want.
You fear we'll fall for false pretensions that we will blindly follow,
to live our life of dreamy freedom, foolishly and fake.
A future into which we walk,
we race, in a pace full of haste,
into a future world with a past full of waste.
But mommah,
while we're laying in our beds,
you repeat the every day threads,
look at the back of our heads;
because we turned our backs your way.
Cause you have your same say, every single day,
the spoken words have even gotten gray.
And now we've stopped to pray, we to hope that
you would finally stop trying to control us,
stop prying and unfold us
Cause, because you cant see our eyes,
it doesn't mean that we cant see
it doesn't mean that we are blind
it doesn't mean we have no eyes
it means it's time to set us free
cause we have our own words to find
to come up with OUR truths and lies
We don't get through to each other;
me and my mother
she's doin' her best, but she's bringin it wrong
she thinks we don't know, we don't appreciate shit..
